Adriano Olivar, born in the Philippine Islands, volunteered for military service as a teenager. Despite a fragmented leg Olivar overcame the severe injury and endured the treacherous Bataan Death March as an amputee. The veteran summarizes the episode and his subsequent escape to Australia after performing guerilla duties.
